While the first beta of iOS 27 is still four months away, there are already plenty of rumors about new features that will be included in the update.

Rumored Features
-
Siri Chatbot: iOS 27 will reportedly include a full‑out Siri chatbot that you can have back‑and‑forth conversations with, making Siri more like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini. Due to delays, iOS 27 might also include at least some personalized Siri features announced back in 2024.
-
New Apple Intelligence Features: Apple and Google announced that Gemini will help power some new Apple Intelligence features, likely beginning rollout on iOS 27. Rumors include Apple Intelligence capabilities coming to the Calendar app and a scaled‑back Apple Health+ subscription that may deliver only bits and pieces of AI‑powered health and fitness recommendations.
-
New Satellite Features: iOS 27 will reportedly support 5G satellite internet connectivity, likely limited to upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models with Apple’s next‑generation C2 modem. Additional rumored satellite features include Apple Maps via satellite and the ability to send and receive photos via Messages over satellite.
-
Bug Fixes and Stability Focus: iOS 27 is expected to be “similar to Mac OS X Snow Leopard,” with Apple emphasizing quality, underlying performance, bug fixes, improved stability, and Liquid Glass design enhancements.
Beta Testing and Release Timeline
iOS 27 beta testing is expected to begin during WWDC in June, with the public release slated for September for all compatible iPhones.
