I’m super impressed with the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s new Privacy Display

It’s kind of a Galaxy S26 Plus Plus.
Maybe it’s a reflection of just how slow hardware innovation has been, but the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s new Privacy Display, which limits the screen’s viewing angle to keep any would‑be peepers away, left me totally impressed.
How the Privacy Display works
The technology isn’t brand‑new – it’s been used in laptops for years and was leaked well before Samsung’s official announcement. What makes it stand out on the S26 Ultra is that it’s integrated directly into the display rather than being a separate screen protector. Users can toggle the feature on or off, and the screen switches between two sets of pixels: one that projects a normal view and another that narrows the viewing angle to hide the content from side‑on observers.
