I built a SaaS for $0 in one weekend (LAMP Stack + Free Hosting). Here is what happened.

The App

SubTracker helps you track “zombie subscriptions” so you don’t lose money.

The Challenge

The hardest part wasn’t the code; it was the hosting. Google Chrome flagged the free subdomain as “Dangerous,” killing 100 % of traffic on Day 1. I had to migrate servers within 30 minutes to save the launch.

The Result

• 5 active users
• Deployed the first paid feature (Lifetime Access)

The Lesson

You don’t need a fancy stack to ship. You just need to handle the pain of free hosting.
