Google starts teasing I/O 2026 with its latest puzzle

• A new puzzle teasing Google I/O 2026 is now available.
• When enough people finish the game, it will reveal the event dates.

Google isn’t going to simply announce the dates for its developers’ conference. Instead, it’s released a puzzle where solving the game unlocks the date reveal. The latest puzzle for Google I/O 2026 can be accessed at io.google/2026/puzzle/.

Note: The link currently redirects to the Google I/O 2025 page, but a screenshot captured by 9to5Google shows the puzzle interface with the instruction: “Play through all builds to unlock the final bonus.”

As with previous years, a certain number of participants must complete the puzzle before the official dates are disclosed.
