Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform

Announcement

Google CEO Sundar Pichai opened the Google Cloud Next conference on Wednesday with a video announcing one of the company’s biggest new products: the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform.

Target audience

The tool is designed for building and managing AI agents at scale, positioning Google against Amazon’s Bedrock AgentCore and Microsoft Foundry. Because AI agents excel at technical tasks such as coding—and because enterprise adoption is still new with security concerns—Google has focused the platform on IT and technical teams.

Business‑user experience

Business users are directed toward the Gemini Enterprise app, introduced in the fall, which lets them either use agents built by IT or create their own for tasks like:

  • Scheduling meetings
  • Trigger‑based processes
  • Shortcuts for repetitive tasks
  • Creating and editing files without switching apps

Underlying models

Google also highlighted that the platform leverages its own Gemini LLM and the Nano Banana 2 image generator, alongside Anthropic’s Claude models. Support includes:

  • Claude Opus
  • Sonnet
  • Haiku (covering flagship, reasoning, and lower‑cost options)
  • The newly released Opus 4.7
