Google is rolling out its redesigned Workspace app icons

Google Workspace apps are receiving a refreshed look. The redesigned app icons, which leaked last month, have begun rolling out widely as of this morning. Users with the new icons will notice a gradient effect that fades from lighter to darker shades, moving away from the previous flat tone—mirroring the redesign of the Google logo introduced a year ago.

Some icons have shifted from a rainbow design to a single‑color scheme, such as Google Chat, Meet, and Calendar. This change may help the icons stand out more from one another, though it could also make them slightly harder to recognize. Other icons remain unchanged.
