Google has added three new features to the Chrome desktop browser: split view for multitasking, PDF annotations, and a Save to Google Drive option.

Chrome Feature 22

Split View

Split view is a built‑in tool that lets you use two tabs side‑by‑side. A split view icon appears in Chrome’s toolbar; clicking it opens the new view, providing a more streamlined and flexible way to work with multiple pages simultaneously.

PDF Annotations

The Chrome PDF Viewer now supports basic annotation capabilities. You can highlight text, insert signatures, and add notes directly within the browser, eliminating the need for separate PDF editing software.

Save to Google Drive

The Save to Google Drive feature makes it easier to locate downloaded files. PDFs (and other downloads) can be saved directly to Google Drive from Chrome without the extra steps of re‑downloading and re‑uploading. Chrome creates a “Saved from Chrome” folder in Drive for these files.
