Google AI Mode getting ‘plus’ redesign as agentic booking expands globally
Source: 9to5Google
Redesign of the prompt box
Like the Gemini app, Google AI Mode now uses a bottom‑sheet interface on mobile instead of a pop‑up menu. The new layout includes:
- Large buttons for Gallery and Camera.
- A Tools section, currently offering only Create images on mobile.
- A Gemini 3 models switcher at the bottom, with options for Auto or Pro.
The redesign is rolling out on Android and iOS and is currently available in the stable channel.
Old vs. new

Agentic dining expansion
Google announced that AI Mode’s restaurant‑booking capability is now available in eight additional markets beyond the United States:
- Australia
- Canada
- Hong Kong
- India
- New Zealand
- Singapore
- South Africa
- United Kingdom
To use the feature, simply include the desired details in your prompt—time, location, cuisine, party size, or even a vibe. AI Mode will search multiple reservation platforms (through local partnerships) and present bookable options.
Example prompts
- “Find a table for two at a dog‑friendly Italian restaurant in Shoreditch for Saturday at 7 p.m.”
- “Find me a sushi restaurant nearby that has a table for four and also serves vegan tempura.”
The dining assistant is now live in AI Mode with no Labs opt‑in required.
