Source: GitHub Changelog

The new global pull requests dashboard will be on by default for all GitHub users as the new experience transitions to an opt‑out public preview.

The new dashboard and inbox view give you a unified place to manage all of your pull requests. Since the opt‑in preview launched, we’ve shipped a wave of improvements based on your feedback.

✔️ Configure your default view

You can now choose which view is shown by default when you navigate to github.com/pulls. The inbox starts as your default.

📥 Inbox improvements

  • Filter Inbox by org – Focus your inbox view to specific organizations or repositories.
  • New sections – Find your work faster with dedicated “Your drafts” and “Waiting for review” sections.
  • Team review section – See pull requests waiting on review from your teams in the “Needs your teams review” section of the Inbox. Review requests for you directly are in the “Needs your review” section. All your review requests (direct or team‑related) can still be found in the Review requests view.
  • Expand/collapse sections – Tidy up your view by collapsing groups you don’t need right now.

⚡️ Pull request list improvements

  • Open/closed toggle – Quickly switch between open and closed pull requests.
  • Unread update indicators – Spot pull requests with new activity at a glance.
  • Filtering links – Quickly filter the current view by clicking the repository, author, or assignee in any list item.
  • See status checks at a glance – Understand which checks are failing without navigating into the pull request.
  • Assignee avatars – See who is assigned to a pull request.

🐞 Bug fixes

  • Durable URLs for saved views – Saved view URLs won’t change (or break bookmarks) if you update the view.
  • Better state and filter persistence.
