According to a new report, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 will finally get some needed spec updates, including improved cameras and a larger battery. The alleged specifications were published by the Greek tech site TechManiacs and referenced by GSMArena.
Galaxy Z Fold 8
- Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
- Weight: 210 g
- Thickness (unfolded): 4.1 mm (about 5 g lighter and a hair thinner than the Fold 7)
- Cameras:
- 200 MP main sensor
- 10 MP selfie camera
- 50 MP ultrawide sensor (upgrade)
- Telephoto sensor not specified (Fold 7 uses a 10 MP sensor)
- Battery: 5,000 mAh (up from the Fold 7’s 4,400 mAh)
A previous leak mentioned the same battery capacity but suggested the device would be thicker rather than thinner.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 “Wide”
- Inner display aspect ratio: 4:3
- Rear cameras: Two 50 MP sensors (wide and ultrawide)
- Battery: 4,800 mAh
- Weight: Around 200 g
These details align with earlier rumors, though they should be taken with a grain of salt. The same publication correctly reported on other Samsung announcements (e.g., a new Watch Ultra and a larger battery for the Galaxy Z Flip 7) but previously mis‑estimated the Fold 7’s thickness.
