TL;DR

  • Fitbit Premium users in Public Preview now receive weekly plans they can adjust, including targets and workouts.
  • Soon you’ll be able to manually tweak targets and workouts when your schedule gets messy.
  • Google is revealing the Sleep Score calculations, giving a transparent breakdown of your rest data so you can see why you aren’t waking up refreshed.

Overview

If you’ve ever felt that a fitness tracker’s “personalized” plan wasn’t personal at all, you’re not alone. Fitbit listened to user feedback, and this week its personal health coach is getting a major update.

Google says the update is rolling out now with the latest app version and will reach more users in Public Preview over the next few weeks. The focus is on making coaching more flexible and adaptive.

New Features

Weekly Fitness Plans

Fitbit Premium subscribers now receive weekly fitness plans that are customized and updated based on their progress. The plans include workouts and weekly goals tailored to each user.

Adjustable Targets & Workouts

Soon you’ll be able to manually adjust your targets and workouts when your schedule changes, giving you more control over your fitness routine.

Guided Workouts & Daily Interactions

The coach now provides step‑by‑step guidance for recommended workouts, making it easier to follow personalized plans. Daily interactions include more personalized messages in the Today tab, such as morning greetings, post‑workout summaries, and end‑of‑week updates.

Ask Coach Chat

Checking in with your coach is simpler via the “Ask Coach” chat feature, allowing quick questions and feedback.

Updated Sleep Score

The refreshed Sleep Score, which began rolling out this week, now offers a clearer view of how your rest is measured. The transparent breakdown helps you pinpoint why you might feel tired after sleep.

Availability

These features are currently in Public Preview and will be rolled out to all users in the coming weeks. If you’ve been frustrated with basic trackers, this update may make you want to wear your Pixel Watch or Charge all day.
