The experience of accessing Hulu content in the Disney+ app is easier starting today.
That’s because Disney is launching new features as part of its ongoing integration of Hulu and Disney+.
- Profile Linking – Hulu subscribers can now link their Hulu profiles to Disney+, which brings their watch history, watchlist, and recommendations into Disney+.
- Stream Hulu without Disney+ Account – Hulu subscribers can now use the Disney+ app to stream all Hulu content, even if they don’t have a Disney+ account. This is enabled via a unified MyDisney login.
- New Avatars – Hulu avatars are now available for profiles in the Disney+ app, joining the existing Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars‑themed avatars.
Disney also says that once profiles are linked, titles watched in the Hulu app will continue syncing to the Disney+ app moving forward.

Additionally, Disney+ will soon start testing a Live Guide feature that’s inspired by Hulu. The new feature will act as a hub for easily finding live content at any given time. It will include streams like “ABC News Live” and “Disney+ Playtime” for all Disney+ users, and ESPN networks for entitled ESPN Unlimited subscribers.
Additional Hulu features, such as Live TV and add‑ons, are still available in the Hulu app and will be coming to Disney+ at a later date.
Following these announcements, Disney told Variety that there are “no current plans to sunset the Hulu app.” However, with these changes it’s starting to seem like an inevitability—especially if the rumored Disney+ ‘super app’ ends up materializing.
