Create OpenAI API key

Getting Started

1. Go to .
2. Log in or sign up.

For New Users (skip to “Existing User” if you already have an account)

3. Click Start building.

   

   • Fill in Organization name.

   • Choose What best describes you?.

   • Click Create organization.

     

   • Click Continue.

     

   • Click I’ll do this later.

     

   • Click I’ll buy credits later.

     

For Existing Users

4. Click Settings.

   

5. Select API keys.

6. Click Create new secret key.

   

7. Enter a Name for the key.

8. Choose a Project (optional).

9. Click Create secret key.

   

10. Click Copy to copy the API key and store it securely.

11. Click Done.
