Apple says car keys in Wallet are set to expand significantly soon, and one major new automaker—Toyota—appears to have just launched support.

The past year has been a big one for Apple Wallet and CarPlay additions, and Apple has teased that more is coming.

Last WWDC, the company named 13 new automakers that had pledged to add car keys in Wallet soon.

But there’s one vehicle brand not present on that list that just launched support—and it’s a big one.

Toyota is now rolling out Apple Car Key support for some of its vehicles, as confirmed by a 2026 RAV4 owner on Reddit (via MacRumors).

The adoption of car keys follows a report in December that Toyota had been added to Apple’s backend database of vehicle brands that could support the feature.

An automaker being added by Apple doesn’t guarantee an immediate launch, but in Toyota’s case the support appeared shortly after the database change.

We don’t yet know how many different Toyota models support Car Keys, or which model years will gain support.

Now that the first report of a 2026 RAV4 adding support has surfaced, we hope Apple or Toyota will publish an official list of compatible vehicles soon.
