Incident

Quentin Griffiths, the co‑founder of online fashion giant ASOS, was identified by Thai police as the man who fell to his death from an 18‑floor condominium in the eastern seaside town of Pattaya on 9 February 2026.

Police were called on Monday night after receiving an alert that a man had fallen from the balcony and was found dead on the ground. An investigator told the BBC that Griffiths, a British passport holder, was alone, his room was locked from the inside, and there was no evidence of a break‑in. An autopsy found no signs of foul play.

The police also noted that Griffiths was involved in two ongoing court cases that might have caused him stress.
