OLED Upgrade Overview
Apple plans to release iPad mini and MacBook Pro models with OLED displays later this year, according to industry sources who spoke to South Korea’s ETNews.

The current iPad mini and MacBook Pro models use LCD panels with LED or mini‑LED backlighting. Switching to OLED would improve image quality with richer colors, higher contrast ratios, and true blacks. Samsung is expected to supply the OLED displays for both devices.
All iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad Pro models currently sold by Apple already feature OLED displays (excluding refurbished units).
