Apple today released tvOS 26.5, the fifth update to the tvOS operating system that debuted last fall. The update is available for the Apple TV 4K and arrives just over a month after the release of tvOS 26.4.

Download and Installation

  1. Open the Settings app on your Apple TV.
  2. Navigate to System > Software Update.
  3. Select Download and Install to get the new software.

If you have automatic software updates enabled, your Apple TV will upgrade to tvOS 26.5 automatically.
