TL;DR

  • OPPO has launched a magnetic rear display accessory for the Reno 16 smartphone.
  • It can serve as a selfie mirror, a detachable camera remote, or a display for images and videos.
  • It also works as a standalone fashion accessory.

Overview

Magnetic rear displays are gaining traction. After seeing phone cases with secondary screens, OPPO has introduced the Bubble, a small circular screen that magnetically attaches to the back of compatible phones. It functions as a viewfinder for rear‑camera selfies and offers several additional uses.

Features

  • Selfie Mirror & Camera Remote – Acts as a viewfinder and remote, streaming the camera preview so you can shoot photos or record video from up to 10 m away, even when the phone is on a tripod.
  • Dynamic Display – Shows wallpapers, live photos, and videos.
  • Standalone Accessory – When paired with compatible cases, it can be hung on clothing or bags, displaying any chosen content.

Specifications

  • Screen: 1.73‑inch AMOLED, 466 × 466 px, up to 600 nits brightness
  • Battery: 550 mAh internal cell
  • Dimensions: 7 mm thick, 27.5 g weight
  • Durability: IP54 dust‑ and water‑resistance

Compatibility

The Bubble is launched alongside the Reno 16 but supports a wide range of devices, including:

  • OPPO Find X9 Ultra & Find X9 Pro
  • OnePlus 15 & OnePlus 15T
  • Other phones (see the full list)

Pricing & Availability

  • Price: CNY 499 (≈ $75)
  • Release date: May 29 in China

OPPO has not announced global availability, and there are no confirmed plans for a U.S. launch at this time.
