Google has released Android 17 Beta 4, the last beta update ahead of the full release, and it introduces a fun new Easter egg that features a connect‑the‑dots puzzle to start a new animation.

Finally updating the last Easter egg that debuted with Android 14, the Android 17 Easter egg opens to a blank page showing a ring of diamond‑shaped dots. You string these together in the world’s quickest game of connect‑the‑dots, at which point the Android 17 logo appears and moves forward through space.

Long‑pressing on the logo makes the phone vibrate to mimic a rocket launch, then you’re thrown back into the same space game.
Google has hidden similar Easter eggs in past Android versions.

It’s not a huge change, but it’s nice to finally see something new here.

The game itself has been updated with new activities, additional codenames, and planets. If you’ve been playing the actual game within the Easter egg, there’s a lot of new content this time around.

Notably, the Android 17 logo is now complete, after Google quietly updated it in blog posts over the past few months.

We’re digging into everything new in Android 17 Beta 4, so leave a comment if you see anything we haven’t!
