Popular password‑management app 1Password is raising its subscription prices effective March 27 2026. The increase adds $12 per year to each plan.
Pricing Changes
- Individual plan: $47.88 /year (up from $35.88) → $3.99 /month (up from $2.99)
- Family plan: $71.88 /year (up from $59.88) → $5.99 /month (up from $4.99)
1Password says the price adjustment is needed to continue investing in new features and security updates.
New Features
Recent investments have added several capabilities:
- Automatic saving of logins and payment details
- Enhanced Watchtower alerts
- Faster, more secure device setup
- AI‑powered item naming
- Expanded recovery options
- Proactive phishing prevention
Renewal and Regional Details
- The new pricing takes effect at the next renewal on or after March 27 2026.
- Renewals that occur before March 27 will retain the current pricing.
- In some regions (e.g., Europe), plans will be automatically canceled if customers do not approve the price increase.
Platform Support
- iCloud integration is limited to Apple devices and Windows PCs using the iCloud for Windows app.
- For cross‑platform use, including Android, third‑party apps such as 1Password remain the primary option.
