보도에 따르면 폐쇄된 스튜디오 블루포인트가 Bloodborne 리메이크를 제안했지만 FromSoftware에 의해 거절당했다

Background
Bluepoint Games, a Sony studio known for PlayStation remakes, reportedly pitched a remake of Bloodborne in early 2025. The idea came after the studio’s work on a live‑service God of War project was cancelled, leaving them searching for a new direction. Given that Bloodborne launched in 2015 and Bluepoint successfully remade Demon’s Souls in 2020, a modern‑day version of the gothic horror RPG seemed logical.
Pitch Details
According to Bloomberg, Bluepoint’s proposal was blocked by the game’s developer, FromSoftware. Sources said FromSoftware opposed the remake but did not provide a specific reason. Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier cited a Kinda Funny Games interview with PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida, in which Yoshida noted that FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki wanted a Bloodborne remake but was too busy to lead it himself and “doesn’t want anyone else to touch it.”
Aftermath
After the remake proposal was rejected, Bluepoint struggled to secure another project for over a year. The studio has since been shut down, further reducing the likelihood of a Bloodborne remake in the near future. While a remake isn’t impossible, any future effort would require explicit approval and likely close oversight from FromSoftware.
