Kling은 “monthly tokens.” 라고 표시한다.
Luma는 “generations per day.”

AI Video Studio Cost Planner.

아래는 그 뒤에 있는 수학이다.

각 플랫폼이 실제로 청구하는 방식

PlatformPricing modelTypical rateCost per second (example)
Runway Gen‑3 AlphaCredits per second of video generated~10 credits/second$0.01 per credit → $0.10/second (10‑second clip = $1)
Kling AI (Pro)Tokens per second (complex motion prompts consume more)~15 credits/second$0.015 per credit → $0.225/second
Luma Dream MachineFlat credit per generation (within limits)Fixed per generationVaries by plan, but predictable

Note: Adding 4K upscaling on Runway doubles the rate—something the pricing page doesn’t highlight.

실제 워크플로우에 대한 수식

Assume you’re producing 30 short videos per month, each 10 seconds long, at standard quality.

PlatformCredits Used (approx.)Monthly Cost
Runway Gen‑33,000~$30
Kling Pro4,500~$67
Luma3,600~$43

Switching to 4K upscaling doubles all numbers. At 100 videos/month, you’re looking at $100–$300+ depending on platform and quality. Unlimited subscription plans start to make sense around that volume.

GPU‑equivalent cost

One metric added to the calculator is the GPU equivalent cost—what it would cost to run the same inference on a rented H100 (via Lambda, RunPod, etc.) instead of using the SaaS platform.

  • Typical result: about 45 % of the SaaS price, meaning the SaaS service carries roughly a 2× markup for the convenience of not managing infrastructure.
  • For hobbyists and small studios, the markup is often worth it.
  • For high‑volume production (1,000+ videos/month), self‑hosted inference can become financially sensible.

“rates verified” 문제

AI video pricing changes constantly. Runway updated its credit pricing twice in the past year, and Kling frequently adjusts its token system. To keep the calculator reliable, I added a “Rates Verified: [Month Year]” badge per model and update the underlying numbers whenever platforms change their pricing. This lets you know whether an estimate is based on current data or is outdated.

Free, no login, opens instantly: bytecalculators.com/ai-video-cost-calculator

Set your model, monthly video count, duration, and quality tier. The tool outputs:

  • Monthly cost
  • Total credits used
  • GPU‑equivalent cost

If the rates are wrong or a model is missing, leave a comment on the page and I’ll update it when pricing changes.
