Discount overview

Google is handing out a $20 discount to some YouTube TV subscribers which lasts for four months – a total of $80 off of the service – but it’s pretty hit‑or‑miss whether you’ll have the offer at all.

YouTube TV discounts aren’t uncommon; Google occasionally offers promotions to keep customers on board when they try to cancel. A number of YouTube TV subscribers on Reddit and Twitter/X report that an offer has appeared on their account with a $20‑per‑month discount for the next four months. The offer appears in YouTube TV account settings with no prior notice.

How to check the offer

  1. Open your YouTube TV account settings on a desktop browser.
  2. Click Manage.
  3. If the offer is available, you’ll see a button showing the $20/month discount (as shared on Twitter/X). If the offer isn’t available, there doesn’t seem to be any obvious way to make it appear.

It’s unclear why the discount is offered to some subscribers and not others; our account fell into the latter. Let us know in the comments if it’s available for you!
