YouTube TV Gets Cheaper Sports, News, and Entertainment Bundles

YouTube is splitting YouTube TV into a selection of tailored YouTube TV Plans, allowing subscribers to pay less for a smaller selection of channels. “TV should be easy,” reads the blog post announcing the change.

New Plans Overview
- Sports Plan – $64.99 / month (or $54.99 / month for new subscribers, 1‑year discount). Includes all major broadcasters (ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox) plus sports networks such as FS1, NBC Sports Network, all ESPN networks, and ESPN Unlimited.
- Sports + News Plan – $71.99 / month (or $56.99 / month for new subscribers, 3‑month discount). Everything in the Sports Plan, plus CNBC, Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, CSPAN, Bloomberg, and Fox Business.
- Entertainment Plan – $54.99 / month (or $44.99 / month for new subscribers, 3‑month discount). All major broadcasters plus a range of entertainment channels, from FX dramas to Hallmark classics, Comedy Central, Bravo, Paramount, Food Network, HGTV, and more.
- News + Entertainment + Family Plan – $69.99 / month (or $59.99 / month for new subscribers, 3‑month discount). Combines news and entertainment channels with family‑friendly content such as Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, National Geographic, Cartoon Network, and PBS Kids.
All plans retain YouTube TV perks, including unlimited DVR and the ability to share an account with up to six members. Add‑ons such as NFL Sunday Ticket, HBO Max, and 4K Plus remain available for purchase. Plans begin rolling out this week.
Pricing History
YouTube TV launched in April 2017 at $35 / month. Over nine years the price more than doubled, with the most recent increase in December 2024 raising the cost from $72.99 / month to $82.99 / month.
