You can now use YouTube videos as your cover video on DEV Posts (Also Mux and Twitch videos)

New Cover Video Feature

You can now use a YouTube video as the cover for your post—meaning it will appear above the title and feature prominently in the feed.
Just go to create a post via /new, click Cover Video Link, and paste the URL!

Supported Platforms

• YouTube – the most popular video embed.
• Twitch – permalinked videos (not channel links).
• Mux – primarily video infrastructure for developers; sharing a direct Mux link isn’t the standard use case, but it’s supported.

Using the API

In addition to the editor, you can add one of these links via the video_source_url attribute in the API! DEV is built on Forem, so all things Forem immediately have access to this feature as well.
