Why does every job tracker cost £50/month when most tradespeople just need a list and an invoice

Background
I’ve been building tools for a while. Most never make it past the “spent a weekend on this” stage, but this one I kept using, so I cleaned it up and put it out.
The problem with existing job trackers
- Tradify – £47/month. My brother‑in‑law, a plumber, tried it for two weeks and cancelled. It includes route planning, team timesheets, and a full CRM—features he doesn’t need as a solo tradesperson with just a van and a phone.
- Jobber – £49/month. Same issue: it’s geared toward larger teams and higher ARR, leaving a gap for solo operators.
Most solo tradespeople need only:
- A list of jobs
- Client contact details
- A simple way to send an invoice (without a 2019 Word template)
My solution
I built a lightweight web app that does exactly that.
Features
- Add clients – store contact information.
- Log jobs – associate each job with a client.
- Generate PDF invoice – one‑click PDF generation, ready to email.
- Browser‑only – no installation required.
Pricing
- £12/month for a single user seat (solo tradesperson).
- No team features, route optimisation, or CRM clutter—just the essentials you’d keep in a notebook.
Try it
If you’re still invoicing from Word or sending “I’ll get that invoice over tonight” emails every week, give this tool a try:
