The Problem

Many startups ship features quickly, often without a reliable way to track errors in production.
Typical approaches—adding a feedback form or a bug‑report button—are rarely used and can feel stressful.
In one instance, users abandoned a SaaS product after encountering unhandled errors.

The Solution: Bugmail

I created Bugmail, a lightweight error‑tracking tool that avoids the complexity of solutions like Sentry.

  • Simple setup – works out‑of‑the‑box for small projects.
  • Familiar interface – looks like Gmail, making it easy to read.
  • Notifications – sends alerts via Gmail, Discord, or Slack when an error occurs.
  • Breadcrumbs – includes the event that triggered the bug for quick debugging.

Why Bugmail Over Other Tools?

  • Less overhead – no massive dashboards or configuration files.
  • Focused – only the essential information you need to fix the issue.
  • Free to start – ideal for solo developers or small teams.

Getting Started

  1. Sign up at the Bugmail website.
  2. Follow the short integration guide to add the tracker to your project.
  3. Choose your preferred notification channel (Gmail, Discord, Slack).

Once set up, Bugmail will automatically notify you of any production errors and provide the relevant context.
