WhatsApp rolls out updates including multiple accounts for iOS

Multiple Accounts on iOS
WhatsApp now lets iPhone users run two separate accounts on a single device, a feature that has been available on Android for years. The profile photo for each account appears in the bottom tab, making it easy to verify which persona you’re using.
Chat Transfer Improvements
New tools simplify moving chat histories between platforms and devices, including cross‑ecosystem transfers (iOS ↔ Android). This should help retain messages when upgrading to a new phone.
Storage Management
A “Manage Storage” option in each chat now allows you to delete large files directly from the conversation. You can remove just the media files to free up space and avoid storage clutter.
AI Features
WhatsApp integrates Meta AI for light photo editing, such as removing backgrounds, changing aesthetic styles, and deleting elements from images. It also offers a “Writing Help” prompt that uses AI to draft messages while keeping chats private, as noted in Meta’s blog post.
The above features are rolling out to all WhatsApp users “soon,” according to the company.
