Google announced Wear OS 7 at this year’s I/O event, detailing new features that make it easier to stay on top of deliveries, sports scores, and other real‑time information directly from your wrist.
Live Updates
Wear OS 7 introduces iPhone‑style Live Updates, a feature first seen on Android last year. These updates can appear on both your smartwatch and your smartphone, letting you see timely notifications such as package deliveries or game scores without opening an app.
Wear Widgets
The platform’s widget‑like Tiles are being replaced with Wear Widgets, which resemble Android widgets and provide glanceable information in a more familiar format.
