Ubisoft has confirmed the remake Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced and announced a release date of July 9 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. A trailer has been released, showcasing the game’s updated graphics that resemble recent entries such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This is a full remake, not merely a port, and it continues to star protagonist Edward Kenway.

Gameplay Improvements

• New weather system and an upgraded underwater exploration system.
• Combat refinements to align more closely with newer titles.
• Updated stealth mechanics—being spotted no longer always ends the mission, unlike the original.
• Introduction of new crew members, including a cat, that accompany you during exploration segments.

Rumors and Speculation

The trailer only displays scenes set in the Caribbean during the 1700s, with no modern‑day segments. This aligns with rumors that the remake will omit the Montreal‑produced modern portions entirely. Confirmation will require playing the final release.
