This is a submission for the DEV Weekend Challenge: Community.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 The Community

TrustGuard AI is built for online communities that depend on trust, safety, and meaningful communication, including:

  • Students & educators using discussion forums, study groups, and learning platforms
  • NGOs & social organizations communicating with donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries
  • Startups & indie developers managing user‑generated content with limited moderation resources
  • Everyday internet users exposed to scam messages, phishing links, and fake URLs

As an active participant in tech and educational communities, I’ve seen how phishing links, scam messages, and harmful text quietly erode trust. Most platforms still rely on basic keyword filtering, which fails to understand context and intent.

TrustGuard AI was built to solve this exact problem.

🛠️ What I Built

I built TrustGuard AI, an AI‑powered trust & safety moderation system that analyzes text, messages, and URLs in real time.

✨ Core Features

  • 🔍 Real‑time analysis of user‑generated content
  • 🚨 Detection of harmful intent (scams, phishing, harassment, threats)
  • 📊 Context‑aware risk scoring instead of binary allow/block decisions
  • 🧠 Explainable AI insights explaining why content is flagged
  • 🛤️ Smart moderation recommendations (allow, warn, review, block)

Instead of simple filtering, TrustGuard AI focuses on risk‑based decision intelligence.

⚙️ How I Built It

  • Frontend: Interactive web interface for real‑time analysis
  • AI Logic: Context‑aware text understanding focused on intent and risk
  • Deployment: Hosted on Vercel
  • Design Approach: Community‑first moderation with transparency

The system is extensible and can support:

  • Multilingual moderation
  • Advanced URL reputation checks
  • Platform‑specific moderation policies

🌱 Why This Matters

Healthy communities are built on trust.

TrustGuard AI doesn’t just block content — it empowers communities to:

  • Protect users from scams and fake links
  • Reduce moderator workload
  • Maintain transparency through explainable AI
  • Foster safer and more inclusive online spaces

AI should support communities, not silence them.

🚀 Final Thoughts

If you manage a student forum, NGO platform, or startup community, TrustGuard AI acts as a smart safety layer that scales with your users.
