TL;DR

  • CNET has unboxed the Trump Mobile T1 smartphone.
  • The device comes with a charger and protective case, unlike phones from other brands.
  • It’s believed that the phone is a rebadged HTC U24 Pro.

The Trump Mobile T1 is now shipping to some preorder customers after a lengthy delay and amid concerns that it might be vaporware. We now have a real‑world look at what’s inside the box.

Unboxing details

CNET posted a short unboxing video on YouTube, giving a clear view of the contents. You can watch it here: .

Compared with a typical Samsung or Pixel phone, the Trump Mobile T1 includes a few extra items:

  • Braided USB‑C cable (expected)
  • Charger – no information yet on charging speed or specifications
  • Clear protective case

Most Apple, Google, or Samsung devices only ship with a USB‑C cable, so the Trump Phone saves you from buying core accessories separately.

Additional observations

  • The phone has a plastic back and comes preloaded with Doctegrity and Truth Social apps.
  • Images captured by the device carry a watermark with the T1 logo and timestamp; it’s unclear if this can be disabled.
  • CNET noted that Trump Mobile expedited the preorder “because we are CNET.com,” suggesting the unit may have been sent to media outlets to generate hype.

It is widely believed that the device is a rebadged version of the 2024 HTC U24 Pro. There are also concerns that the Trump Mobile website might be leaking user data (source).

Even without the questionable business and security practices, there are many great, cheap Android phones from established manufacturers that offer a more sensible purchase (see list).
