If you’re frustrated by the way that the Galaxy Watch locks out certain features depending on your region or smartphone, a new app aims to address this while providing an on‑device companion that summarizes your wellness data.
Developer Dante63, known for a patched version of Samsung Health Monitor that unlocks unsupported features, has released GeminiMan Wellness Companion. Although still early in development, the app already offers several useful capabilities:
- Record an ECG on your Galaxy Watch, with reports and AI analysis viewable in the phone app.
- View detailed metrics such as confidence scores for each reading.
- Create custom notes for each measurement, allowing you to log symptoms or conditions (e.g., migraine attacks).
- Manage multiple profiles, handy for sharing a watch with another person.
- Keep health data stored locally, with optional encrypted backups.
- Export ECG reports as CSV or PDF, depending on the selected chart type.
When comparing GeminiMan to Samsung Health Monitor, both identified periods of high heart rate, but GeminiMan flagged two recordings as having an abnormal rhythm—something Samsung’s app missed.
