Qi2 battery banks are perhaps one of the best accessories for a Pixel 10 owner, but finding one that’s compact while actually having a decent amount of power inside is not easy. With the new Baseus PicoGo AM52 power bank, Baseus has built a 10,000 mAh Qi2 battery bank that just feels right.

The Baseus PicoGo AM52 is not a brand‑new idea. Baseus already has a 10,000 mAh Qi 2.2 power bank that we went hands‑on with a few months ago. Since wireless charging— even Qi2 with magnetic alignment— has inherent power loss during charging, a 10,000 mAh power bank is really what you want for topping off a modern smartphone. Most of these are pretty big and cumbersome, which is why the 5,000 mAh power banks are so beloved. This new option just splits the difference.

Design and Build

The Baseus PicoGo AM52 measures 0.63 inches thick, roughly 0.1 inches smaller than the earlier model. That might not sound like a lot, but combined with a rounded‑off design, it makes a world of difference on the back of your phone and in your pocket. Instead of feeling like you’re holding a brick, it just feels like a thicker phone. The matte aluminium casing also feels quite nice. On a Pixel 10, it perfectly sits on the back of the device without spilling over the edges.

Performance

The AM52 doesn’t have a built‑in USB‑C cable like a lot of other 10,000 mAh magnetic power banks, but you can still use the USB‑C port for 45 W output (or input) with a cable. On the Pixel 10 Pro XL and some iPhones, the bank can output Qi2 25 W speeds, at least for a little while.

Baseus also offers a thinner 10,000 mAh battery, but it has slower charging both wireless and wired, so the AM52 is the first one without any major compromises. It holds significantly more charge than the 5,000 mAh model, yet without a ton of added bulk.

Pricing and Variants

Update 3/1: Baseus has finally made the AM52 available for purchase at $79.99 on Amazon, though it’s often on sale for as low as $60 after coupons.

Alongside the standard version, Baseus released a second variant that costs just a few dollars more and includes a built‑in USB‑C cable that doubles as a carrying strap. The cable adds utility, allowing faster charging (up to 45 W) and the ability to charge a non‑Qi2 device simultaneously with the wireless pad. The strap can secure the bank inside a backpack, though it’s not very robust for frequent attachment/detachment.
