There's a cute voice messaging app for Playdate now

Overview

If your friend group or family includes multiple Playdate owners, you can now chat directly on the device. Developer Jon Simantov—known for Cranky Cove—has released helloyellow, a voice‑messaging app that lets you send voice messages, create group chats, and share achievements with friends you’ve added.

• Download: Free on itch.io (with limitations)
• Full version: $5 (unlocks all features)

How It Works

• Operates over Wi‑Fi.
• You can record messages while offline; they’ll be sent automatically once you reconnect.
• The app also supports personal voice notes.

Message Length Limits

• Free version: Up to 2 minutes per message.
• Full version: Up to 10 minutes per message.

Adding Friends

Friends are added via hellocodes.
