The Pixel 10’s Magic Cue is expanding to more apps and getting a fresh coat of paint

TL;DR
- Google plans to expand Magic Cue across more apps and give it a new look.
- The feature will soon work with apps like Snapchat and show suggestions at the bottom of the screen.
- Users will also be able to dismiss Magic Cue suggestions using a small “X” icon.
Expansion to More Apps
Google announced that Magic Cue, originally a Pixel 10‑exclusive feature, will be expanded to additional third‑party apps with the upcoming Android 17 release. In a Google for Developers session, the company demonstrated the feature in Snapchat, where a contact asked for the name of a restaurant recommended by a mutual friend. Magic Cue displayed the restaurant name in a prominent chip at the bottom of the screen—tap the chip to send the suggestion.

While Google did not name other apps that will receive support, the move signals broader availability for Pixel 10 users.
New User Interface
The demo also showcased a refreshed UI for Magic Cue:
- Placement: Chips now appear at the bottom of the screen with a subtle glow around the suggested information, rather than popping up over the keyboard or inside the main app view.
- Visibility: This bottom‑of‑screen overlay makes the suggestions easier to spot and less intrusive.
- Dismissal: A small “X” icon allows users to dismiss a suggestion.
