If you’re hunting for a new laptop, our Senior Reporter (and resident laptop expert) Haley Henschel says the Dell models on Amazon are a good buy right now. Her advice is simple: skip the standard Inspirons and go for the “Plus” models. They’re newer, better built, and Amazon is currently beating Dell on price.
As of Feb. 18, you can get the 14‑inch Dell 14 Plus (Intel Core Ultra 9‑288V, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD) for $1,020.48, down from $1,134.98 at Amazon. That undercuts Dell’s current sale price of $1,049.99 by about $30. It may not sound huge, but considering this configuration usually lists for over $1,750 on Dell’s site, getting it near the $1,000 mark is a win in my book.
