The best PS5 settings to change if you want better performance (and privacy)

Privacy Settings
To protect your privacy while using your PS5, customize the following settings:
- Open Settings → Users and Accounts → Privacy → View and Customize Your Privacy Settings.
- Control who can see:
- Real name
- Profile picture
- Friends list
- Game activity and history
- Manage who can send friend requests or interact with you online.
For each option, choose “No One” or “Close Friends Only” to reduce unwanted friend requests and spam.

Data Collection and Voice Data
- In Privacy, scroll down to “Control how your data is collected and used.”
- You’ll see three sections: Data You Provide, Personalization, and Voice Data Collection.
Data You Provide
- Set the option to Limited.
Personalization
- Turn off all four sub‑options, including Standard Personalization.
Voice Data Collection
- Select Don’t Allow.
