While the best iPad deals usually land during major sale events like Black Friday, many great iPad deals are available outside of those times. Day‑to‑day discounts come and go like changing winds, so there’s often some amount to be saved—particularly on Apple’s most affordable iPad and the latest iPad Mini. You can even often find discounts on the latest M5 iPad Pro, which is already on sale at multiple retailers.

All that being said, it’s difficult to know exactly where you can find the most notable iPad deals unless you’re scouring the major retailers daily. That’s what our deal hunters at The Verge do, so let us help you out. Below, we’ve rounded up the best prices on every current iPad model, from the 11th‑gen base iPad to the more powerful models with the M3, M4, and M5 chips.

The best iPad (2025) deals

Apple iPad (11th‑gen)

RetailerRegular PriceSale PriceConfig

Amazon$449$413256 GB, Wi‑Fi
Walmart$349128 GB, Wi‑Fi

Apple’s 11th‑gen iPad landed on the scene a year ago. The newest base‑model tablet is a fairly iterative update of the prior model, but with 128 GB of base storage (up from 64 GB) and an A16 Bionic chip, which is nearly 30 % faster than the A14 chip used in the 10th‑gen iPad. However, the newer chip doesn’t support the various Apple Intelligence features introduced in iPadOS 18.1 and subsequent updates. For that, you’ll want to opt for a more recent iPad Air, iPad Mini, or iPad Pro model.

  • Pricing: starts at $349 (Wi‑Fi, 128 GB).
  • Upgrades: 256 GB (+$100) or 512 GB (+$200); LTE model starts at $499.
  • Recent price drop: $279 on Black Friday; currently the best Amazon price is $327.59 (save $21).
  • 256 GB model: $413 on Amazon (save $36).
  • 512 GB model: $599 on Amazon (save $50).

The best iPad Mini (2024) deals

The seventh‑gen iPad Mini is similar in several ways to the previous model, but comes with big internal upgrades:

  • Faster Wi‑Fi and USB‑C speeds
  • Support for the Apple Pencil Pro
  • New A17 Pro processor with 8 GB RAM (enables Apple Intelligence)

Otherwise, it retains the 8.3‑inch Liquid Retina display and 5G options of the last‑gen model. It may not be worth upgrading if you already own a sixth‑gen Mini, but newcomers will appreciate the enhancements.

  • Base price: $499 (128 GB, Wi‑Fi) – same price the previous generation’s 64 GB model cost.
  • 256 GB: $599
  • Cellular models: start at $649

The 128 GB Wi‑Fi model is on sale at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target (Target Circle) for $399—just $50 shy of its all‑time low. The 256 GB variant is $499 at Amazon and Best Buy (only $10 shy of the best price we’ve seen).

Apple recently announced a new iPad Air powered by its M4 chip. Like its predecessor, it comes in two sizes—11 in and 13 in—but Apple claims it’s now “up to 30 % faster.” New features:

  • 12 GB RAM (up from 8 GB)
  • Apple’s new N1 wireless chip (Bluetooth 6, Wi‑Fi 7, Thread) – faster, more reliable connections to networks, accessories, and smart‑home devices.

Both tablets launch on March 11. If you want a secure one at launch, Best Buy (Wi‑Fi, LTE) is offering a $40 preorder discount on the 11‑inch base model. Walmart matches the discount on the Wi‑Fi model and sells the 256 GB variant for $649 (save $50). The only deal we found for the 13‑inch model is at Walmart: base 13‑inch Air with Wi‑Fi for $749 (save $50).

The best iPad Air (2025) deals

Apple no longer officially sells last year’s iPad Air, but it’s still available—and discounted—at various third‑party retailers.

  • 11‑inch base (128 GB, Wi‑Fi): $499 at Walmart (save $100).
  • 256 GB model: $599.99 at Amazon and Target (save $100).
  • 512 GB model: $799 at Walmart (save $100).

Since the M4 Airs currently cost only $40–$50 more, it may make more sense to opt for Apple’s newer models instead. The only M3 deal we’d really recommend is the step‑up 512 GB model on sale at Walmart for $799 (save $100).

iPad Air (M3, 2026)

The iPad Air with Apple’s M3 chip and a modest amount of RAM is still snappy enough to be a solid investment in 2026. It offers a few technical upgrades over the entry‑level iPad, which should help it stay relevant longer:

  • Apple Intelligence support
  • Compatibility with the latest Magic Keyboard (larger trackpad + extra function‑key row)

Bottom line: The M3‑powered iPad Air remains a credible laptop replacement.

Note: While there are a few M4 iPad Pro deals floating around, none are as compelling as the discounts listed above for the 2025 models.

Why the 2025 iPad Pro Stands Out

  • M5 chip – faster than the previous generation.
  • C1X cellular modem (cellular models only).
  • N1 chip – handles Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and Thread.
  • Improved memory read/write speeds.
  • Fast charging – 0 → 50 % in ~30 minutes.

Even though the tablet launched in October, prices have already begun to drop across major retailers.

Update (March 5)

Pricing and availability have been refreshed, and details about the new M4‑powered iPad Air have been added.
