Availability in Europe

Tesla’s Full Self‑Driving (Supervised) driver‑assistance software is now available in Lithuania, becoming the second European country to approve its use after the Dutch regulator RDW gave the green light.

The rollout in Europe has been cautious; regulatory scrutiny typically slows deployment compared with the United States. At present, FSD (Supervised) is available in the Netherlands and Lithuania. The Dutch regulator is seeking EU‑wide acceptance, which could allow other European nations to recognize the Dutch certification and grant approval more quickly.

The Greek transport ministry announced that an upcoming bill would grant approval of FSD, and Belgium is also expected to authorize its use following the same process employed by RDW.

Subscription model

Tesla originally offered FSD as a one‑time purchase. In January 2026, Elon Musk announced that the feature would only be accessible via a monthly subscription, currently priced at $99 per month.

Financial and strategic importance

Musk’s $1 trillion compensation package is tied to several product milestones, including reaching 10 million active FSD subscriptions by 2035. As of the first‑quarter earnings call in April 2026, Tesla reported nearly 1.3 million paying FSD customers globally.

Global availability

Outside Europe, FSD (Supervised) is available in:

  • Australia
  • Canada
  • China
  • Mexico
  • New Zealand
  • Puerto Rico
  • South Korea
  • United States

Other Tesla AI and robotics initiatives

  • FSD Unsupervised: A fully autonomous version not offered to consumers; it operates a small fleet of about 50 robotaxis in Austin, Dallas, and Houston.
  • Optimus humanoid robot: Still in development and not yet in mass production or available to consumers.
