Introduction

Hello, my name is Samuel Okochi. I’m a Computer Science student who has just begun this journey.

Why I Chose This Path

I chose Computer Science because I love solving problems. The challenge of tackling one problem often leads to new ones, and that cycle keeps me motivated. I also appreciate the potential for good earnings when luck is on my side. Additionally, I want to create something I can truly say I worked hard for. I’m especially fascinated by machine learning and AI—they constantly blow my mind.

Starting with Python

My journey began with the Python programming language. I wrote my first “Hello, World!” program and, after a month of practice, I became comfortable with variables, data types, control structures, and loops.

My primary learning methods have been:

  • Reading Python books
  • Watching YouTube tutorials
  • Testing myself with questions generated by ChatGPT and ones I create from daily activities

Learning Git and GitHub

I have also started learning Git and GitHub. Although it can be frustrating at times, I’m determined to master it soon.

Linux Basics and Future Plans

I need to improve my Linux skills, as I’m currently behind schedule and have only two months left to cover this area. In my next blog post, I’ll provide an update on both my Linux progress and my Git/GitHub learning.

Conclusion

I’m excited to see what lies ahead on this journey. I look forward to completing my learning cycle and, one day, standing alongside the greats in the field as an equal. My learning phase has just started, and I’ve already encountered Python programming.
