New Stability Audio 3.0 Models

Stability AI, the company behind Stable Diffusion, is releasing a new family of audio models called Stability Audio 3.0. The top model can generate professional‑grade music longer than six minutes, the company claimed.

The four models under the Stability Audio 3.0 name are:

ModelParametersTypical Use
Small SFX459 MOn‑device sound generation, up to 2 min
Small459 MOn‑device music generation, up to 2 min
Medium1.4 BFull compositions up to 6 min 20 s
Large2.7 BFull compositions up to 6 min 20 s (API / paid services)

Both the medium and large models can maintain musical structure and melodic tone over a 6‑minute‑20‑second composition—more than double the length achievable with Stable Audio 2.0 (released in 2024).

Stability AI is making the small SFX, small, and medium models available with open weights for anyone to use and modify. In 2024 the company released Stable Audio Open, which allowed music generation of up to 47 seconds. The new family of models is a significant step up from those earlier open versions.

The company says its latest audio models are built on fully licensed data. Stability AI is also developing a new suite of products for professional musicians, though details remain scarce.
