Spotify’s AI DJ now supports French, German, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese

Spotify announced that its interactive AI DJ feature now supports four additional languages: French, German, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese. Previously, the AI DJ was available only in English and Spanish.

New Language Support

The AI DJs have distinct names and personalities tailored to each language:

  • Maia – French
  • Ben – German
  • Alex – Italian
  • Dani – Brazilian Portuguese

Geographic Expansion

Alongside the language rollout, Spotify is extending the AI DJ to the following countries:

  • Austria
  • Brazil
  • France
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Portugal
  • South Korea
  • Switzerland

The feature is now available in more than 75 countries.

Feature Evolution

Spotify’s AI DJ originally provided commentary while playing tracks. Over the past few years, the service has made the DJ more interactive:

  • May 2025: Users could chat with the AI DJ and make requests to change mood or genre.
