The Rise of RGB LED TVs
The first wave of RGB LED TVs is fighting for a place in the TV hierarchy. To justify their higher price, they must outperform OLED TVs in brightness and color (while accepting OLED’s superior contrast) and surpass regular LED TVs in overall performance.
Sony Bravia 7 II
Sony’s latest offering, the Bravia 7 II, joins the flagship Bravia 9 II. Both models combine RGB LED backlighting with Sony’s renowned processing technology.
RGB LED TVs like the Bravia 7 II use separate red, green, and blue LEDs for the backlight instead of a uniform field of blue or white LEDs. This design enables the display to produce a wider color gamut and higher peak brightness.
