Snapchat’s Position Among Creator Awards
Snapchat is the latest platform to launch creator awards.
- Instagram introduced a “Ring” award in October 2025, awarding 25 winners with a custom physical ring designed by Grace Wales Bonner and a digital golden ring on their profiles. (TechCrunch)
- TikTok launched its first U.S. TikTok Awards show in November 2025, featuring categories like “Creator of the Year,” “Video of the Year,” “Muse of the Year,” and “Breakthrough Artist of the Year.” TikTok has also held awards shows in Germany, Mexico, and Korea. (TechCrunch)
Snapchat’s format aligns with TikTok’s, offering a traditional live awards ceremony where winners are revealed on stage. The company says the show will bring together “creators, industry leaders, and special guests.” One of the special guests is DJ Khaled, who will receive Snapchat’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
