Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra will ship with a 5,000 mAh battery—the same capacity used in the past five generations of the company’s flagship line. Surprisingly, Samsung’s cheapest smartphone, the Galaxy A07, offers an even larger battery.
Overview
The Galaxy A07 5G is positioned below the $199 price point of the Galaxy A17, making it Samsung’s most affordable handset. It became available on January 30, 2026 and was officially announced in Samsung’s newsroom today: Samsung launches Galaxy A07 5G.
Design and Colors
The device features a 6.7‑inch 720p display and comes in three color options:
- Black (standard)
- Light Violet
- Light Green
Both “Light Violet” and “Light Green” have iridescent finishes that evoke the look of the Galaxy Note 10.

Specifications
- Display: 6.7‑inch, 720p LCD
- Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 6300
- Memory: 4 GB or 8 GB RAM (depending on model)
- Rear Camera: 50 MP main sensor + 2 MP depth sensor
- Front Camera: 8 MP selfie camera
Software Updates
Despite its low price, Samsung promises “up to six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates” for the Galaxy A07 5G.
Battery
The Galaxy A07 5G ships with a 6,000 mAh battery—1,000 mAh larger than the expected capacity of the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra. Paired with the lightweight Dimensity 6300 chipset, this should translate to battery life measured in days rather than hours.
Availability and Pricing
Samsung states that the Galaxy A07 5G went on sale on January 30, 2026, though it has not yet appeared in the U.S. market. Pricing has not been officially confirmed, but the device is expected to be priced in the $100–$150 range, depending on region, retailer, and carrier.
