Samsung Wallet just got a travel feature that I hope Google Wallet copies ASAP

Samsung Wallet just dropped a major feature that’ll make you jealous if you use Google Wallet, especially if you travel often or have a big trip planned.
ZDNET’s key takeaways
- Samsung’s Trips feature builds an itinerary from wallet entries.
- The feature is exclusive to Galaxy users.
- Google Wallet is missing a similar option to organize your trip.
Trips
In an effort to make its wallet app more than just a place to store cards, Samsung has introduced Trips — a feature that takes all of your travel‑related items you’ve added to your wallet (hotel reservations, flight itineraries, car rentals, transit tickets, museum passes, theme‑park tickets, sporting‑event tickets, etc.) and automatically organizes them into a single itinerary view, with entries grouped by time and location.

Instead of sorting through individual tickets, Samsung says everything will appear on one page, visible when you need it. Time‑specific items are grouped together, as are location‑specific items. When you add travel‑related items to your wallet (you can manually add items that don’t have a dedicated option), you can also add a memo beside each one.
Immensely useful
While many apps let you build an itinerary, this is a significant perk for Galaxy users because Android currently lacks a built‑in solution. It’s especially handy for busy trips in unfamiliar areas. Google Wallet lets you download the same items for easy access, but it doesn’t organize them. Third‑party apps require you to manually add each ticket.

Samsung says the Trips feature will roll out in April on compatible Samsung Galaxy phones, so if you don’t see it yet, it should appear soon.
