Expansion details
Following an initial expansion last month, Samsung is once again expanding its One UI 8.5 beta program to more Galaxy devices, including some more affordable ones too.
Detailed in a post, Samsung explains that the One UI 8.5 beta is now available to seven more new Galaxy devices, bringing the total number of supported devices up to over 20.
This latest batch is primarily older‑generation flagships, but the big news is that the One UI 8.5 beta is expanding to a Galaxy A‑series device for the first time ever: the Galaxy A36. Samsung says a “phased rollout” starts today in the US, UK, India, and Korea.
Supported devices
- Galaxy S23
- Galaxy S23+
- Galaxy S23 Ultra
- Galaxy S23 FE
- Galaxy Z Fold 5
- Galaxy Z Flip 5
- Galaxy A36
Footnote: The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 are getting the beta solely in the US and Korea, while the Galaxy A36 is only eligible in India.
This comes as the Galaxy S25 series is getting its ninth One UI 8.5 beta release and, as other supported devices get the latest build, AirDrop over Quick Share support is also expanding.
You can enroll in the One UI 8.5 beta through the Samsung Members app: How to install.
