Apple March 4 event preview

Last week, Apple announced a special Apple experience in various cities around the globe – taking place on March 4. While this is unlikely to be a traditional Apple event, there are at least five new products expected, according to Bloomberg.

In the latest edition of the Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that the upcoming Apple launch will actually be a “three‑day flurry of announcements,” kicking off on Monday, March 2 and ending with the in‑person experience on Wednesday, March 4. Expect three days of press releases (and possibly launch videos) without a typical keynote.

Upcoming launches

Gurman says the event could feature at least five new products across hardware, software, and chips, including:

  • New low‑cost MacBook
  • iPhone 17 e (if it doesn’t launch sooner)
  • M5 Pro/Max MacBook Pro
  • M5 MacBook Air
  • M4 iPad Air
  • A18 iPad
  • M5 Max/Ultra Mac Studio
  • Studio Display 2

He describes the low‑cost MacBook as “very likely,” noting that rumored color options appear in Apple’s official invite graphic. Gurman also cautions that launching both the Mac Studio and Studio Display at this event might be “overkill,” but they remain in the pipeline.

Additionally, Gurman notes that the following products are running very low in supply at Apple Stores and are likely to be updated soon:

  • iPhone 16 e
  • M3 iPad Air
  • M4 MacBook Air
  • M4 Pro/Max MacBook Pro

Software and chip announcements may also be part of the lineup, so the total number of new hardware items could stay around five. Overall, Apple’s upcoming launch looks set to be an exciting kickoff to 2026.
