Background
The Google ECG app lets users check their heart for signs of atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm. It was formerly known as the Fitbit ECG app, but the name changed as Google moves away from the Fitbit branding.
Reports of the Issue
Pixel Watch owners have taken to Reddit to report that the ECG app won’t open on their devices. Users are greeted by a notification that reads, “Reopen the app and try again.” One user noted that the app fails every time they try to open it. Reports have come from owners of Pixel Watch 2, 3, and 4.

A commenter shared a response allegedly received from Google’s support team:
